What this surcharge is
This Payment Surcharge Policy explains the online payment surcharge that may apply when your customers pay online through your Luxota portal. Your agency collects customer payments through its own payment gateway; the surcharge relates to online card payment processing on the platform.
Standard rate
The standard online payment surcharge is 2.5% of the transaction value. VAT applies where relevant. The exact rate applied to your account is confirmed in your agreement and on your invoice.
When the surcharge applies
The surcharge applies to online card payments processed through your gateway integration on the Luxota portal. It applies across products that collect online payments, including ShareHub White Label and Luxota Full OTA.
It does not apply to charges that are not online card payments unless your agreement states otherwise.
How it is calculated and shown
The surcharge is calculated as a percentage of the gross transaction amount collected online and is shown on your settlement records and invoice. Amounts are based in USD; see the Billing & Payment Terms for currency handling.
VAT
5% UAE VAT applies where relevant, added per the VAT & Tax Policy. The final invoice defines the exact amount and tax treatment.
Your gateway and third-party fees
Every site uses its own payment gateway. This surcharge relates to online payment processing on the platform and is separate from any fees your payment gateway provider charges you directly, which remain governed by your agreement with that provider. Gateway setup is covered in your product terms.
Changes to this policy
Luxota may update this policy. Changes are published as a new dated version in the Legal Center, and the version listed there is the current one. Previous versions remain available in the archive.
